Gina Ballestrasse-Ernster, founder of Smooth Moves by Gina, has always had a natural connection to people—and a special place in her heart for older adults. Growing up, she spent much of her time with her grandmother and a close-knit circle of older Italian women, often gathered around tables playing cards, sharing stories, and enjoying life’s simple moments. Those early experiences shaped her deep respect, compassion, and understanding for the aging community.
Before launching Smooth Moves by Gina, Gina built a diverse professional background that included education, sales, and a strong foundation in fashion and visual presentation. Her keen eye for design, organization, and detail now plays a vital role in her work—helping clients not only transition to a new space, but truly feel at home in it.
With over 16 years of experience, Gina has created a company that goes far beyond moving boxes. Smooth Moves by Gina specializes in guiding clients through life’s transitions with dignity, care, and expertise. From downsizing and organizing to complete move management and home setup, Gina and her team focus on reducing stress and bringing peace of mind during what can be one of life’s most overwhelming times.
Gina is a proud member of the Nation Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers and holds her Senior Move Manager (SMM-C) certification, along with Circle of Service and Home Specialist designations.
